By Virtue of a Writ of Subpoena to you Directed and herewith shewn unto you you are personally to be and appear before our Judges and Assistant Justices at our next Court of Common Pleas to be held for the County of Montgomery at the Court House in Johnstown on the second Tuesday in October next at ten O'Clock in the Forenoon of that Day then & there to Testify the Truth according to your knowledge in a certain Cause in our Court now before us Depending and determined Between Eva Mc Dougal Plaintiff and Christopher Fox Defendant in a Plea of Trespass on the case on the part of the Plaintiff & this you are not to omit upon pain of one hundred pounds Dated the Eleventh Day of June 1790.

Sir: Colonel Frey informs me that you wish to purchase a certain lot of land, lying on the Mohawk river, opposite to the Canajoharie Castle, the property of George Johnson, a son of the late Sir Wm. Johnsons. Now as I have the disposal of that lot, & can give up the claim to the Title, I will sell it to you, if we can agree--the price I have fixed upon after having enquired into its value is Two hundred pounds New York Currency. Should this price not suit you, let me know by the bearer what you will give.

this is to Certify that John J. Clock gives liberty for John Carne to possess the place where he is now living for the Space of two months from the Date hereof and that the above John Carne Shall not in their time molest or Damnify the Said house or Land or timber or any thing Belonging on Said premises and at the end of two months Shall leave the Said house as good as it now is furthermore that I John J. Clock has given the above mentioned John Carne two pounds for his improvements therefore I John Carne do give up all my right and title for Said improvement and have now no more demands on Said

Klock of the County of Montgomery and State of New York of the one part & John McCrarey of the Same place, of the Other part--That is to say that the said John McCrarey most leafe the Lands and Possession of the said John J. This indenture Made this Fourth Day of February--in the Year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven Hundred and Ninety Four Between John Jo. Klock of Palatine Town in the county of Montgomery and in the State of New York Farmer of the one Part and John Kim of the same place Town and County aforesaid of the other Part. Witnesseth that the said John Jo. Klock for and in consideration of the Yearly Rent and Covenant Herein after Reserved Mentioned and contained
which on the Part and behalf of the said John Kim his Executors administrators and assigns are or ought to be Paid kept done and Preformed Hath Demissed Granted and to farm Let and by these Presents Doth Demiss grant and to farm let unto the said John Kim his Executors
administrators and assigns all that certain ten acres of woodland which land is known and being Part of a Patent granted unto John Brashen situate on the North side of the Mohawk River in the Town aforesaid the said Ten acres of woodland being Part of the said Patent and Lying Between a Patent Called Klock Patent and an other Patent Called Van Dreasings Patent and is to begin at a Certain Hamlock tree standing in the Rear line of the Said Van Dreasins Patent about one Hundred and fifty yards Northwest from the now Dwelling Logg house of the said John Kim and the said Tree is Marked with a Blaze on the east side of the Tree and is to Run thence from said Tree Northeast to a Black oak tree Burnt Black and standing Near the Road that Leads to Yuokers Bush and to continue the same course to the Rear line of the said Klock Patent then along the said Klocks Patent and the said Van Dreasings Patent Southeast till it takes in just Ten acres of Land Together with the appurtenances--whatsoever to the Said Premises belonging or in any wise appertaining To Have and To Hold the Said Hereby Demissed Premises with the appurtenances unto the Said John Kim his Executors administrators and assigns from the Day of the Date of these Presents for and During the Term of Ten Years thence Next ensuing and fully to be complete and ended Yeilding and Paying therefore Yearly and every Year During the Said Term Hereby Granted unto the said John J. Klock his heirs Executors administrators and assigns unto the said Demised Premises or any Part thereof in the Name of the whole to Reenter and the same Premises and every Part thereof to Have again Repossess and enjoy as in his and thru first and former Estate Right Title and Degree, and the said John Kim Thruout his Executors administrators and assigns thruout and from thence to Expell and Put out, any thing Herein Containing to the contrary thereof in any wise not with standing and the said John Kim for himself his Executors and administrators Doth Hereby covenant and grant to and with the said John Jo. This Indenture made the Sixteenth day of November in the Year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven Hundred and Ninety five Between John Jo. Klock of the Town of Palatine in the County of Montgomery and in the state of New York of the one Part, and Peter Bies of the same Place Town and County aforesaid of the other Part, Witnesseth that the said John Jo. Klock for and in Consideration of the Yearly Rents and Covenants herein after reserved Mentioned and Contained, which on the Part and behalf of the said Peter Bies his executors administrators and assigns are or ought to be Paid Kept done and Performed, Hath demised Granted and to farm lot by these Presents doth Grant demise and to farm lot, unto the said Peter Bies his executors administrators and assigns all that Certain thirty acres of land which is Known and being part of a Patent Granted unto John Brashen situate lying and being on the North side of the Mohawk River in the Town aforesaid, which said thirty acres of land is Butted and Bounded as follows Begins at the south east Corner of lot Number thirty eight in a Patent granted unto George Klock William Nelles and others then North sixty eight degrees and thirty Minutes East, so far as to take in 30 acre of land then North 48 degrees east 16 chains to the aforesaid patent granted unto George Klock with Mr. Nellis and others, then north sixty eight degrees and thirty minutes West then south forty eight degrees west to the Place where it first begun Containing thirty acres of land, Together with the appurtenances whatsoever to the Premises belonging or in any wise appertaining To Have and To Hold the said hereby demised Premises with the appurtenances unto the said Peter Bies his executors administrators and assigns from 1st day of May last Past for and during the Term of Ten Years thence next ensuing and fully to be Complete and ended Yielding and Paying therefore Yearly and every Year during the said Term hereby Granted, unto the said John Jo. Klock of the Town of Palatine in the County of Montgomery and in the State aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth that the said Parties of the first Part, for and in Consideration of the sum of Three Pounds Current lawfull Money of the State of New York to them in hands Paid by the said Party of the second Part, at or before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents, the Receipt whereof is hereby Confessed and acknowledged, Have Granted Bargained sold Remised Realeased aliened and Confirmed and by these Presents do Grant Bargain Sell Remise Release alien and Confirm unto the said Party of the second Part in his actual Possession now being by Virtue of a Bargain and sale to him thereof Made by Indenture Bearing date the day next before the day of the date of these Presents and by force of the laws for Transferring of uses into Possession and to heir heirs and assigns forever, All that Certain one Half or Morjety of one thirty fifth Part of all the undivided lands in a Patent Granted unto George Klock William Nelles and others situate lying and being on the North side of the Mohawk River, in the Town of Palatine aforesaid, Together with all and singular the Heriditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Revision and Revisions Remainder and Remainders Rents issuees and Profits thereof and all the estate Right Title Interest Claim or demand of the said Parties of the first Part either in law or equity of in and to the above Bargained Premises with the said Heriditaments and appurtenances To Have and To Hold the said undivided land Above Mentioned and Premises with the appurtenances to the Said Party of the second Part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only Proper use Benifit and Behoof of the said Party of the second Part his heirs and assigns for ever, and the said Parties of the first Part for themselves their heirs and executors and Administrators do Covenant grant Bargain Promise and Agree to and with the said Party of the second Part his heirs and assigns that the above Bargained Premises in the Quit and Peaceable Possession of the said Party of the second Part, his heirs and assigns and against all and every other Person or Persons lawfully Claiming or to Claim the whole or any Part of the said above Mentioned and discribed Premises shall and will Warrant and defend for ever by these Presents In Witness whereof the said Parties to these Presents Have Hereunto Interchangeable set their hands and Seals the day and Year first above written.

Whereas Contadt Thum did heretofore by an article of Agreement became Bound unto Charles Newkerk and Corns. C. Beekman to deliver unto the said Charles Newkerk and Corns. C. Beekkman a Conveyance duly executed by him the said Conradt Thum and Anna his wife for all their right in a lot of land in the Military Grant and John House and Adam House Became also bound unto Corns. C. Beekman aforesaid, by their article of agreement to deliver unto the said Corns. C. Beekkman sufficient Conveyance for all their right in the lot of land before Intended, which will more Clearly appear, in the several articles, of agreement and as the Intention at the time of the taken of the said Articles of Agreement, was that John J. Klock, Charles Newkerk and Corns. C. Beekman, should have any Equel share of the lot of land Mention in the said articles of agreement, after they obtain legal Possession on the said lot of land, and it is also the Intention of the parties that each shall pay his share of the Purchase Money and expense In Witness our hands and Seals this Twelvth day of September 1797.
