As I work I realize that much of the information is fiction, written to glorify peoples' ancestors.  One book in particular is pure fiction, I couldn't wait to read this man's pension and traveled to the National Archives in Washington DC to get it.  This was in the days before it was available on line.  Instead of being a hero, the man was a diserter.  I laughed all the way back to upstate NY.  (The Mohawk Valley)

The pension site is: http://revwarny.com  There are over 6,000 pensions on the site to date.  Also you can purchase pension books from this site: http://time-traveling-granny.com/
I do not do any genealogical research.  I work 10-12 hours a day in my historical research and transcribing the pension records.  ajberry29@hotmail.com
