About Fort Klock
History of the fort The 30 acre complex has original colonial farm structures with a 19th century schoolhouse and Blacksmith's Shop. Fort Klock receives no government funding, it is maintained by a SMALL group of dedicated volunteers.

Fort Klock was initially constructed in 1750 by Johannes Klock, and in 1973, designated a National Historic Landmark, a site "of exceptional value in commemorating or illustrating the history of the United States."
